Frankie's motto has always been "Love is the Message and Music is the answer." Born and raised in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, New York City, of Puerto Rican and Taino descent, he was inspired by the late Legendary Larry Levan and Paradise Garage. With over 35 years of experience in music promotions and DJ events, Frankie began his journey in 1985 as a devoted Saturday night "Core" member of the world-renowned Paradise Garage. One transformative night at the Garage changed his entire life. Frankie has always been immersed in music; throughout elementary and high school, he took music classes, Arts & Science courses, participated in auditions for school choirs, and collected 45's. As a teen, he would fall asleep listening to his mom's radio, singing along to R&B, Motown hits, Smooth Jazz, and Disco tunes while watching Soul Train and American Bandstand on Saturdays. He gravitated towards radio stations like CD101.9 FM, 101.1 Light FM, WBLS, and 98.7 Kiss FM, enjoying the sounds of his favorite artists like Aretha Franklin, Angela Bofill, and Michael Jackson. Frankie also followed legendary DJs such as Frankie Crocker and Timmy Regisford, whose paths would later intertwine with his own. His roots are deeply embedded in Funk, Classic Pop, Motown, Soul, Salsa, Latin, R&B, Smooth Jazz, and Disco. In the early 1980s, he frequented bars and clubs like Better Days and Crisco Disco throughout New York City, but it was Halloween weekend in 1983 at the Paradise Garage that forever altered his path. Frankie vividly recalls entering the club for the first time, ascending a dark ramp with flashing lights and the thundering sound of music echoing behind a wall. He felt an undeniable connection, sensing he would experience something extraordinary that night. Immediately mesmerized, he became a member of the Garage, captivated by its sound system, lights, and the magic of Larry Levan. Frankie felt a spiritual bond with Paradise Garage that he couldn't quite define. While he explored other clubs, none compared to the intensity and uniqueness of the Garage, turning Saturday night into a weekly ritual. Frankie studied Larry's record selections and mixing styles, recognizing that Larry played for the crowd with deep conviction. By 1985, after two years of attending Saturdays and still unsure of his calling, he had a pivotal moment while experimenting with a stereo equalizer at a friend's house in Long Branch, NJ. Listening to one of his favorite songs, he adjusted the levels and realized he was altering the music's sound. That instant ignited his desire to become a DJ. He began collecting music, purchasing equipment, and building portable speakers with his brother Jose while delving deeper into Larry's techniques. You could often find him at record stores like Rock & Soul and Vinyl Mania, expanding his collection with the latest hits. Unfortunately, in 1987, the Paradise Garage closed, leaving him and many others devastated. Frankie vowed to keep its memory alive, feeling that the club had profoundly shaped his life. The experience provided him with a sense of direction, leading him to adopt the name 'Frankie Paradise' a year later. To this day, Frankie asserts, "There has never been, or will never be, another club like it." It was a privilege to have experienced that era. Frankie and his brother Jose made it a point to arrive early at the Garage to support DJs like David Depino and Joey's Llano before Larry took the stage. He often spoke with Larry at the Garage and mingled with him at other venues, including a memorable night at the Choice, where he connected through Larry's protégé, DJ Victor Rosado. In the mid-1990s, he was invited to an intimate breakfast by Mel Cheren, the legendary Godfather of Disco and co-creator of Paradise Garage. They shared cherished memories of the club. Frankie transitioned into music promotions, expanding from his native Bronx to Brooklyn. In 1988, at one of his events in Brooklyn, he caught the attention of promoter Charles Jackson, who recognized something special in Frankie and booked him for his first public venue gig at South Oxford club in Downtown Brooklyn. This opportunity introduced him to legendary promoters like James Saunders and Mike Stone. Frankie continued to frequent clubs such as Sound Factory, Tracks, and Palladium while supporting music promotions. Between 1988 and 1990, he assisted Mike Stone with promotions and started landing opening gigs at various venues, eventually gaining acceptance into VIP record pools. Frankie was one of the last young DJs to perform with Tee Scott before his passing. He secured more opening bookings at the Warehouse in the Bronx, Octagon, Carbon, private events, and even played at the original legendary 'SweetWaters' before its closing.

By 1992-1993, Frankie Paradise was gaining fast recognition in the DJ events scene, securing bookings, networking, and meeting various promoters. By 1994, he was ready to launch his own music promotions at a venue called "Club Kingdom Hall, 2311" located on the corner of 23 St & 11th Ave, alongside his brother Jose and a small crew. Around the same time, he was also offered a weekly gig at Afrodiziak (an adult party) in Harlem. Now in Manhattan, Frankie was gaining even more visibility and building a dedicated fan base. During this period, he was also booked for DJ events in Philadelphia, where he became a brand working with Ian Mosley from Ian Productions at Trocadero, DJing shows for artists like Kevin Aviance, Crystal Waters, and collaborating with DJ/Producer Shino Black at venues such as Club 1415, Club Egypt, Katmandu, and Club Envy. In 1995, he co-produced Clubhouse NYC, a production that lasted an impressive 10 years from 1995-2006. This weekly dance party catered primarily to the ballroom community—think "Paris is Burning" or Madonna's Vogue crowd. The party was such a success that it attracted surprise visits from legends like RuPaul, the late Fred Berry from the sitcom "What's Happening," Barbara Tucker, and the late John Robinson of WBLS 107.5 FM. This event spanned a decade at various venues including Demerara, Planet 28, Karate Institute of Harlem, and Club Shelter on 39th St, New York City, with promoters like Irving Boyce El, John Hill Jr., Eric Clarke (Eman), Joseph Ebony, Timmy, and Freddie Sanon of Shelter Records. Frankie has performed at nearly every notable venue in New York City including Speed, Copacabana, Club Escos (Escuelita), Club XL, Club DL, The Roxy, Rebel, Starlight, Frank's Lounge, Hot Spot, Brooklyn, NY, Langston's, and many others. He also had a residency at Backyard BBQ on Quincy St, Brooklyn, NY, from 1994-1996. Frankie has played at numerous DJ events across locations like Bar 13, El Morocco, Santos Playhouse, B.B. Kings, Club Vinyl, Club Shelter, SOB's, Club 51, and many more, including Alhambra Ballroom, Club Ibiza, The African Theater of Harlem, and Fire Island, NY. He co-produced and managed a 12-year residency from 2012-2024 at the Happiness Lounge on Utica Ave, Brooklyn, NY, and held residencies at Coney Island Boardwalk for summer seasons that spanned 11 years, along with the Schomburg Cultural Center in Harlem, NY, for all house music events in honor of Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles for 8 years. Frankie has DJ'd, sound engineered, remixed, promoted, and co-produced events for legendary artists such as Melba Moore, Aron Prince, Kenny Bobien, and many others. His roots began with legendary DJs Tee Scott, Kenny Carpenter, and Carlos Sanchez, and he has shared the stage with notable names including Louie Vega and Honey Dijon. Frankie has achieved national and international fame due to his unique style and consistency. Known for his creative mixes that blend different genres of house with disco, funk, and timeless classics, Frankie Paradise is one of the last few young DJs from the original and peak club era of New York City. He continues to evolve while remaining relevant, understanding different audience vibes and tastes in dance music. His sets reflect a blend of house, classics, R&B, funk, Afro, tech, tribal, disco, and gospel, all integrated to please his loyal followers. Frankie emphasizes, "I can't please everyone, but I will try to please as many as I can." Dubbed "The Scientist on Decks" by promoter John Macie in 2020, Frankie has played throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey, Miami, and even internationally in London, UK, Ibiza, and Bermuda. Following the sudden passing of his beloved brother Jose, who played a pivotal role in his career, Frankie has turned to spiritual studies while continuing his music promotions through his team, SOUL COMMITTEE ALLIANCE, honoring his brother through monthly and seasonal events for loyal fans. His current projects include DJ events at
